What Is International Law?
International Law is the body of rules and principles governing legal relations among States and other entities recognized under the international legal system.
It regulates matters such as State sovereignty, international treaties, diplomatic relations, jurisdiction, State responsibility, international organizations, human rights, armed conflicts, international trade, the law of the sea and peaceful settlement of international disputes.
Modern International Law has developed beyond traditional relations between States and increasingly addresses individuals, international organizations, human rights, environmental protection, international criminal responsibility and other global issues.
